Stacy Adams Shoe Company

The Stacy Adams Shoe Company was founded in 1875 in Brockton, Massachusetts, United States, by William H. Stacy and Henry L. Adams.
The company's wares include suits, men's sleepwear & underwear, sportswear, jewelry, and shoes, with an emphasis on refined urban fashions, including styles resembling modern zoot suits, as well as more casual hip-hop clothing, such as their SAO line of shoes.
The company is frequently referenced by Tom Waits and rapper Snoop Dogg in their music.
Stacy Adams is currently owned by Glendale, Wisconsin, based Weyco Group.
==In popular culture==
Stacy Adams shoes are mentioned in the Epic Beard Man event of 2010.
Ving Rhames' character Melvin in the 2001 film Baby Boy is shown wearing Stacy Adams. Also Stacy Adams Shoes are worn constantly by Morris Day from the Funk-Band THE TIME... they often get mentioned in his songs and they are shown in his place on the inlay of a record cover. They are also Part of the FLYTETYME-signet of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis Music-Productions, who are also Members of this band, now called "the ORIGINAL 7VEN".
The various styles of Stacy Adams shoes have been worn with pride in the South Texas "Tex-Mex", as well as the California "Chicano" culture since the 1930s. They have been featured in several movies of that genre including the highly acclaimed 1981 film "The Zoot Suit' starring Edward James Olmos.
